Today I'll be sharing my top 5 favorite books that are full of joy!

1. The Reluctant Godfather

The Reluctant Godfather is one of my favorite Cinderella retellings and it's a rollicking, fun ride! It focuses on a crotchety godfather loves baking and doesn't love being a guardian to his two wards. When he devises a plan to make his two wards fall in love and relieve himself of his duty, the mishaps commence. It's a silly, light-hearted story with a grumpy x sunshine trope that had me giggling all the way through and the themes and character traits / development are sweet and uplighting.

Totally recommend to readers of all ages who love clean fairytale retellings!

Another fairytale retelling (yet this one is Beauty and the Beast), the first book in the Beaumont & Beasley series is such a fun read! The character arcs, the setting, the wit--it's fabulous. If you're in the mood for a cheerful book with lots of action and heart, then look no further!

Recommend to readers of any age!

Another one of my favorite classics, Anne of Green Gables is like a warm hug. Anne's delightful spirit and optimism are beautiful and there are so many tidbits of wisdom. This book reminds me to approach life with hope, be creative, and look for the ray of sunshines in everything.

Any reader, young and old, will enjoy this timeless novel!

I adore this book. It's lively, eccentric, and super entertaining! The whimsical, charming setting and characters are the stars of the show, and had me grinning ear-to-ear.

Recommend to tween readers and up.

The False Prince is one of those books that you never forget. The intricate cast of characters, detailed world, and insane plot twists are the heart of this book. It's also really funny and the main character is a snarky, clever boy who had me laughing at his one-liners. While there's a lot of action and the characters face many challenges, they do find happiness. Overall, it's one of the most solid, well-written books that I've ever read and I encourage every reader to give it a try!

Recommend to teen readers+.
