My Answers to Aletheianna's Questions:
1. What is your favorite non-fiction book and why?
I would say one of my most recent favorite non-fiction books is The Unplugged Hours. Hannah Brencher provides an excellent roadmap in being more unplugged online and more plugged in on life.

2. What is your favorite fiction book and why?
Ah, I have too many! Ignite by Kara Swanson was definitely one of my top fiction reads of 2024 and got me all in the feels so I'll go with that one!

3. What inspires you to keep writing?
The fact that I can use my writing skills to spread light and encouragement definitely inspires me to keep doing it. <3

4. What are your favorite non-writery activities and why?
Playing the piano and guitar (because it was the first creative outlet for me as a kid and I love music so much), working out (gym rat here 😂), and doing research for work (I actually love my job a lot. XD).

5. What inspired your blog?
To be honest, I had just gotten onto my very first street team and needed some sort of platform to promote the author's works. 😅 I had also been reading blogs for a bit and knew the "blogsphere" fairly well so I felt like it was my best option since I didn't have social media at the time. That was back in 2022 and I've done a lot of changes to it (and this current website isn't even the original one) and I'm finally happy with how it's gotten more streamlined with my other social media and newsletter now.

6. What advice would you give to anyone without context?
Live like someone left the gate open!

7. What advice has personally guided and affected you in how you live your life?
Oof, this is a tricky one haha! There's so much amazing advice I've received over the years! Off the top of my head, I've heard the quote "Courage is being scared to death, but saddling up anyway" since I was a kid. People told it to me a lot and I remembering stumbling across it in books when I was growing up, so I'd say it's played role in helping me be more fearless.

8. What is your favorite quote and why?
I not only have a whole Pinterest board of quotes but also journals brimming with ones I've found over the years so there's no way I have a favorite. 😅 But Victor Hugo's "Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise" is one that I love a lot! It's a great reminder that there is always hope.

9. Do you prefer tea or coffee?
I don't drink coffee since I don't like it, so tea it is haha! I enjoy an occasional herbal one such as earl grey or chamomile. 😊

10. What things must you have before writing?
Background music, water, and a quiet, calm space.

My Nominees:
